Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are a frequent and crucial method to enhance the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can also provide additional damage, AD or even affixes.
Rare-grade equipment is often superior to upgraded Common or Magic gear due to their high demands.
Armor
Armor upgrades are a form of upgrade that can be applied to armor and weapon items. They improve the stats of whatever item they are connected to. Armor upgrades are found in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrades from the items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to its highest upgrade level will increase its damage absorption. But, it's important to be aware that this upgrade will increase its weight, causing it to weigh more than before.
There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game, and each one has distinct effects. Some upgrades give armor an additional amount of health points while others make it lighter and more powerful. The name of the upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade the item can be given, as illustrated below.
A few of the upgrades are also magical or a combination of technology and magic which is identified by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades also require fees for use. They are referred to as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades change daily or never expire dependent on the upgrade.
The cheapest way to upgrade armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the area and looting minor loot chests. Therefore, it is generally not recommended to upgrade most armor pieces above +9, because the increase in defense is usually not worth the additional weight and power costs of the upgrades required.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of an weapon. For example an upgrade can enhance the damage caused by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of the rifle sniper. Jewels

All tiers of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler and Jeweler's Workshop, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to qualify for them. Jewels can be replaced with another jewel without destroying the original. However, you can only replace one jewel in an item of equipment once.
The use of more jewels in the movement will make it feel smoother, and is often performed to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. Apart from improving performance, the jewels create an area that is stronger than metal, so repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause damage as easily.
A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the look of your weapons and shields. They offer a small benefit and can be swapped out at any time, but are not guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold, and also a Scattered Crystal. official website are also removed, which returns them to the inventory. Trinkets
